What warranty comes with a new CNC lathe

What warranty comes with a new CNC lathe

Oct 20, 2026

1. Our Standard Warranty: 12 Months Under Correct Use

Our new CNC lathes are covered by a 12-month warranty. The warranty is valid only when the machine is operated and maintained strictly according to the instruction manual. This includes correct installation, proper lubrication, scheduled maintenance, and operation within the machine’s rated capacity. If a failure occurs due to a manufacturing defect during the warranty period, we will repair or replace the defective component.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper operation, lack of maintenance, unauthorized modification, crashes, power surges, or use beyond the machine’s rated capacity. To keep the warranty valid, customers must follow the manual and keep basic maintenance records.

2. What Is Covered

The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This typically includes structural components, spindle assemblies, ballscrews, guideways, and control systems if a failure is traced to a manufacturing defect. The remedy is repair or replacement of the defective part, at our discretion. Labor coverage depends on the specific agreement and service location.

3. What Is Not Covered: Wear Parts and Consumables

The warranty does not include wear parts or consumables. These are items that naturally degrade with use and must be replaced as part of normal maintenance. Excluded items include seals, wipers, gaskets, belts, filters, lubricants, coolant, cutting tools, nozzles, and similar consumables. Damage caused by using non-approved lubricants or ignoring maintenance schedules is also excluded.

4. Why the Manual Matters

Correct use according to the manual is a condition of the warranty. The manual specifies the correct lubricants, maintenance intervals, operating limits, and safety procedures. If a machine fails because the operator used the wrong oil, skipped lubrication, or overloaded the machine, the failure is not a manufacturing defect and is not covered. Following the manual protects both the machine and the warranty.

5. Industry Context

Many manufacturers offer 12-month warranties as the industry standard. Some offer longer coverage on specific components such as the spindle or control system, and some offer extended warranties for purchase. Our policy is straightforward: 12 months under correct use, excluding wear parts. This is consistent with common industry practice and keeps the warranty terms clear for customers.

6. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If a problem occurs during the warranty period, contact us with the machine model, serial number, purchase date, and a description of the issue. Provide photos or videos if possible. We will assess whether the failure is covered under the warranty. If covered, we will arrange repair or replacement. Do not attempt unauthorized repairs, as this may void the warranty.

Case Data

In practice, most warranty claims involve manufacturing defects that appear within the first few months of operation. Wear-related issues, such as worn wipers or contaminated lubricant, are not covered because they are maintenance items. Customers who follow the manual and replace wear parts on schedule experience fewer unplanned failures and get the most from their warranty coverage.

For example, a customer who operates a CNC lathe within its rated capacity, changes lubricants on schedule, and replaces filters and wipers as recommended will typically see reliable performance. A customer who ignores maintenance may face failures that are not covered, even within the 12-month period.
